With 40 years of experience in the industry, I have witnessed – and shaped – remarkable transformations. My journey began in an era defined by efficiency, quality, and predictability.
Plastics were hailed as the material of the future, and globalization promised new opportunities. Over the decades, I navigated pivotal disruptions: 9/11, financial crises, digitalization, climate targets, pandemics, and geopolitical shifts. These events made the industry faster, but also more vulnerable.
My professional path evolved from sales to market development, from product-focused thinking to systems thinking, and from leadership as a position to leadership as a relationship.
Today, I am convinced that technical excellence alone is not enough. Sustainable growth requires trust, and strategies only succeed with people at their core. Recognizing this was the turning point that inspired me to become a coach.
That’s why I focus on human‑centred leadership — not in opposition to industry, but as the next necessary step. After forty years in this field, I’ve learned that the most profound transformation ahead is not technological, but cultural.
